Texas Flood was formed in 1990 by Neale Farnell. Several line ups over
the next couple of years included keyboards and a vocalist but eventually
a 3-piece combination of guitar, bass and drums was settled upon and the
band continued in that format.
Primarily a band that plays original material and well known blues covers
in an instrumental format, Texas Flood have toured around Australia and
have played at numerous festivals, including the infamous Hell's Angels
gathering at Broadford. Notable amongst their support gigs was the choice
support for John Mayall.
Texas Flood are well known and respected around the Melbourne blues scene
for their uncompromising committment to providing a good show every time.
An eclectic mix of ZZ Top, Johnny Winter, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Satriani,
the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix and more has proven to
be popular when played with Neale Farnell's high energy approach to music.
