Margret made her singing debut at a Melbourne theatre in 1963. Since
then she has performed solo, and collaborated with a plethora of local
and overseas performers on folk, blues, jazz, gospel, world, comedy and
social commentary songs in concert halls, cathedrals, clubs and campuses
from Broome to Hobart, Beijing to Memphis, Edinburgh to Tel Aviv, New
York to Seoul, New Orleans to London, Vancouver to Amsterdam, Hong Kong
to Paris, Auckland to Dublin.
Margret has recorded 10 albums and been featured on 20 others, has sung the
theme song for 2 films, and was Australia's only national radio
broadcaster on African American gospel music for 3 years. Her Musica
Viva school shows toured for a decade, and she currently runs weekly
adult singing sessions and monthly bookshop concerts in Brisbane.
